3. Donation Policy

Hawaiʻi Animal Advocacy – Donation Policy

Hawaiʻi Animal Advocacy (“HAA”) is a nonprofit social welfare organization in the state of Hawaii and requesting to be under section 501(c)(4) of the Internal Revenue Code. This Donation Policy explains how contributions are received, used, and acknowledged.


1. Contribution Classification

Because HAA is filing to be a 501(c)(4):

      • Donations are not tax-deductible as charitable contributions.

      • Donors should consult their tax advisors regarding any exceptions.

We will clearly state this on all donation pages and receipts.

2. How Donations Are Used

Your contribution supports our mission to:

      • Advocate for humane treatment of community cats in Hawaiʻi

These SMS Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your participation in Hawaiʻi Animal Advocacy’s (“HAA,” “we,” “us,” “our”) text messaging program. By opting in to receive text messages from HAA, you agree to these Terms.

1. Program Description

HAA sends text messages related to:

      • Advocacy alerts and policy updates

      • Volunteer opportunities

      • Event notifications

      • Donation reminders

      • Urgent animal welfare actions

      • General organizational updates

Messages may be sent using automated technology.

2. Consent to Receive Text Messages

This Master Legal Agreement (“Agreement”) governs your access to and use of the website, services, content, communications, donation systems, and SMS text messaging programs provided by Hawaiʻi Animal Advocacy (“HAA,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a nonprofit social welfare organization being established under Section 501(c)(4) of the Internal Revenue Code.

By accessing our website, submitting information, donating, or enrolling in our SMS text messaging program (collectively, the “Services”), you (“User,” “you,” or “your”) acknowledge and agree to be bound by this Agreement, which includes:
